Raul Martinez-McFaline, Fifth Year MD-PhD student in the laboratory of Dr. Yariv Houvras at Weill Cornell Medicine, has been awarded an F31 Fellowship from the NCI to investigate the role of histone 3 lysine 9 (H3K9) methyltransferases in melanoma. The project aims to evaluate the effects of aberrant H3K9 methyltransferase activity using a transgenic zebrafish melanoma model and human melanoma cell lines.
Congratulations, Raul!
